Upon closer inspection, the house is still furnished. Curtains still hang in the windows, parted just enough to allow the imagination to roam free. I could not bring myself to get too close. I felt like any second, the owners would peer back at me through those parted drapes…

I hope whoever they were, the family who once lived on this farm have found a happy home, with contentment, peace, and love.
